Can inflatable docks damage my boat?
That depends on how your inflatable platforms are constructed. Its important to consider the placement of the D-rings and features. D-rings located on the sides of a dock can cause damage to the clearcoat and fiberglass of a boat. Is the mesh of the water hammock safe for pets?
Yes, the mesh center is strong, supportive, and resistant to scratches from pet claws. It’s designed without sidewall gaps, so there’s no risk of paws getting caught.
What is the difference between fused and woven mesh water hammocks?
Fused mesh is lighter, more comfortable, easier to pack, and stays taut to reduce sagging. Its continuous connection to the inflatable perimeter also helps keep debris and curious sea creatures out while preventing kids’ or pets’ arms and legs from slipping through gaps. Fused mesh can be repaired if damaged, but unlike woven mesh, the entire mesh section cannot be replaced.
Woven mesh is heavier, sits slightly deeper in the water, and may sag more with multiple people. Because it’s connected to the perimeter with woven rope, small gaps are present around the edges. The tradeoff is that the entire mesh can be replaced if necessary, making it a great choice for commercial or heavy use and hammocks that stay on the water for extended periods.
For most personal, daily, or weekend use, we recommend fused mesh for its comfort, lighter weight, and packability. For commercial or seasonal setups where serviceability matters more than portability, woven mesh may be the better choice.
