Is it dog friendly?
Absolutely! Our water hammock is made from rugged triple-layer PVC and a strong polypropylene mesh center, so it easily stands up to dog claws. Many customers pair it with our inflatable Pup Up dog ramp, giving their pups the freedom to hop on and off with ease.
Is it safe for saltwater?
Yes! The Avalon Pad is designed for use in both saltwater and freshwater. Its sidewalls feature two reinforced layers plus a third protective layer that shields the seams from UV rays, salt, and other environmental stressors. As with any ocean gear, a quick freshwater rinse before long-term storage helps keep it in top shape.
How long does it take to inflate & deflate?
The inflatable water hammock inflates in about 16 minutes using the included dual-action hand pump, which pushes air on both the up and down stroke to speed up the process. While some other hammocks may inflate faster, that's usually due to their thinner 4–6" design with less internal volume. Ours features an 8" thick floating sidewall, offering 30–50% more buoyancy than typical alternatives. This added volume creates a sturdier, more supportive surface for lounging and sitting.
How compact does it get for storage?
The Avalon Pad can be fully deflated using the included reversible hand pump, allowing you to remove all the air—just like the day it came out of the box. Gaps between the EVA decking serve as intuitive fold lines, making packing simple and repeatable. You have three convenient options for rolling and transport:
Full-Length Roll: Roll it like a rug for a packed size of approx. 7' x 12" x 8"
Half-Fold Roll: Fold in half, then roll to about 48" x 12" x 12"
Third-Fold Roll: Fold into thirds, then roll for a compact 32" x 17" x 13" bundle
